Pink Peonies

Not sure when this love affair began . . .

From my earliest memories, there were always peony bushes around. First on a farm in Massachusetts where I grew up, and later in our Seattle yard. I suppose now that I really think about it, peonies were one of my mother’s favorites.

Surely she was the one who saw that they were planted near our house, where ever we happened to live.

Frankly, I’ve found it hard to always have a bouquet or peony bush, depending on where I live.  In the south, they are much harder to find, so when I do, I’m thrilled.  I love having a vase of them in my home.

There is simply something utterly wonderful about a peony.

Especially when it is pink!
